What is ISO 45001 Certification

ISO 45001 certification is a globally recognized 45001 occupational health and safety management system (OH&S) standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This standard provides a framework for organizations to manage and improve their occupational health and safety performance by implementing and maintaining effective OH&S management systems.

The goal of ISO 45001 is to reduce the risk of work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities by promoting a safe and healthy work environment. This standard is applicable to all types of organizations, regardless of size or industry, and is designed to be integrated with other ISO management system standards, such as ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management).

To achieve ISO 45001 certification, an organization must undergo a rigorous assessment process by an accredited certification body. This process involves a comprehensive audit of the organization's OH&S management system to ensure that it meets the requirements of the standard. Once an organiz ation has been certified, it must undergo regular surveillance audits to ensure that its ISO 45001 OH&S management system continues to meet the requirements of the standard.
